The Borough of Jersey Shore will hold its 2014 Borough Council Meetings on the following dates at 7:00pm:

Monday, January 6 - Borough Council Re-Organizational Meeting

Monday, January 13                    Monday, July 14

The Borough will advertise any and all Special Meetings or Work Sessions that may be held throughout the year in a newspaper of general circulation.

Lycoming County Recycling will cease residential curbside collection in the Borough of Jersey Shore on November 7, 2014. Lycoming County Recycling will continue to collect at the curb on the regularly scheduled days until November 7. Please use the next two months as an opportunity to set up Single Stream recycling with your hauler or you may use the drop off recycling center on North Pennsylvania Avenue. Please feel free to call the Recycling Hotline with any questions at 1-800-736-7559.

Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program

Program Participation Requirements

In order to participate in the rehabilitation program, you must meet the following requirements:


You must be the homeowner and your name must be on the deed.  You will also be required to make the home your primary residence for 5 years after the rehabilitation work is completed.


You must be current on all your personal, property, and school taxes

Municipal Services

You must be current on all your municipal service: sewer, water, garbage, recycling, etc.


Your family's gross income must be within the following:

         2                                                       $35,400.00

         3                                                       $39,850.00

         4                                                       $44,250.00

         5                                                       $47,800.00

         6                                                       $51,350.00

         8                                                       $58,450.00

If you feel you meet these requirements and your home is in need of repairs, please contact SEDA-COG's office, or call (800) 326-9310, Extension 7252 and ask for a Pre-Qualification form.  Once the form is completed you will be placed on the program's waiting list.


Farmer's Market

The Market will start June 7th and run every Saturday  8am-12 pm through October (weather permitting).    Music will be provided on the first Saturday of the each  month.   New vendors are welcome with homemade or handcrafted  items only.

YMCA 11th Annual Ride/Walk with the Y!


Join the Jersey Shore Branch YMCA for our 11th Annual Ride/Walk with the Y!  This family-oriented community event is held on the Pine Creek Rail Trail in our area and will take place on Sunday, September 28th. Registration/Check-in begins at 10:00AM and participants may choose to ride or walk from four different courses. Lunch will be provided in the YMCA parking lot after the event and there is a chance to win several prizes from local business!
