The 4K for Cancer is a program sponsorred by the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of young adults, and their loved ones, who have been affected by cancer.  Every year groups of college students have undertaken a 70 day, 4000+ mile summer bike ride across the United States with the goal of offering hope, inspiration and support to cancer communities along the way.

This year they will be arriving at the Jersey Shore YMCA on May 29th and departing on May 30th. 

Come out and show your support for this inspiring group of young people and their cause.

The Jersey Shore Main Street program will be hosting a Farmer's Market on Saturdays starting June 2nd from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Gazebo Area on Main Street.  For information contact:  Lurie Portanova, Chairman of JS Market at 570-398-5521.

Wayne Township Landfill has invited the residents of Jersey Shore Borough to participate in a clean up event for used tires.  The tire clean up will take place on Friday May 18 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday May 19 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Individuals, not businesses, can take free of charge up to 12 tires to the landfill.  Tire sizes are limited to 17" and smaller.  Proof of Residency is required.
